Our founders’ recipes are still prepared the way they were in 1934


Gus’ own calmer jammers: Whole baby clams sautéed in a white wine and garlic sauce with banana peppers and a touch of Tabasco

Chicken Tenders” House prepared breast of chicken strips breaded with spices and Panko

Baked Stuffed Clams: Clam shells stuffed with a Chopped Clams, Gus’ Rye Bread Crumbs and Fresh Herbs

Potato Pancakes: 2 fried potato and onion cakes served with applesauce

Eggplant Napoleon: Crisp breaded eggplant stacked with marinated roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella finished with basil infused olive oil and balsamic reduction

Escargot: tender petite snails marinated in white wine, simmered in our own fresh herb and garlic butter

Fleisch und Kaiser Teller: (German Anti-pasta)

Peel & Eat Shrimp: 1lb. of jumbo shrimp split down the back for easy peeling and served with cocktail sauce, Half lb. is avaiable

Smoked Filet of Rainbow Trout: semi-boneless filet of smoked trout served with horseradish aioli

Smoked Wild Salmon:  Slices of Smoked Salmon served with rye toast diced red onion, capers and horseradish aioli

Herring & Sour Cream: Petite Filet of Pickled Herring in sour cream with onions



Albacore Salad: Albacore Tuna Salad blended with minced onion, celery and your choice of lemon and oil or mayonnaise served over mixed greens

Cajun Salmon Salad: Filet of Salmon broiled with Cajun Spices over Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Mozzarella basil infused olive oil and balsamic glaze

Marinated Chicken Salad: Breast of chicken marinated in extra virgin olive oil, garlic, rosemary, grilled and sliced over mixed greens

Chef Salad: Sliced roast beef, roast turkey, ham, salami & Swiss cheese over mixed greens

Most salads listed above are served with hard cooked egg, cucumber, tomato, carrots, black olives and sliced red onion.



Our sandwiches are served on our famous rye bread, stacked with a half a pound of sliced cold cuts…we also have ciabatta rolls available

Most sandwiches can be served as a combo (half sandwich) with your choice of three bean salad, tossed salad, potato salad, coleslaw or a cup of soup. Wraps & Reubens are not available as a combo.


If a combo is not requested a whole sandwich will be served.

Seafood soups are extra when added to a half sandwich

We make our soups daily; therefore seafood soups may not be available every day


Roast Loin of Pork: Bone-in roast loin of pork served with mashed potatoes, and sauerkraut

Hungarian Goulash: Cubes of braised beef simmered in an onion sauce served with red cabbage, & mashed potatoes

Gus’ Bratwurst: A house-made traditional German Pork Sausage served with sauerkraut, & mashed potatoes

Gus’ Meatloaf: Zesty & spicy served with mashed potatoes and vegetables

Grill Chicken Breast: Marinated grilled chicken breast served with mashed potatoes, & vegetables

Salad Plates

These are a great choice for something filling but not too heavy!

Our salad plates are served with German Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Three Bean Salad and Cottage Cheese

Assorted Meat Salad Plate: Sliced Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Black Forest Ham, and Homemade Genoa Salami

German Potato Salad: cider vinegar based potato salad with red onion
